The University of Oregon Many Nations Longhouse has a rich history of being the longest standing off reservation public longhouse in the state of Oregon.  Created in the late nineteen sixties, the current longhouse is located on the East Side of the University of Oregon campus. The original University of Oregon Longhouse was created as a student and community longhouse.  With the change in needs and growth of the local Native community, the University community, and greater Indigenous communities, efforts have been made to create a new longhouse.  This new longhouse, The Many Nations Longhouse, will serve as a physical and cultural nexus where all of these communities can come together.
