APPLICATION
Qualified candidates must be doctoral students in
APA accredited counseling or clinical psychology programs with all
course work, practica ( 400 Intervention and Assessment hours),
and qualifying examinations completed by the start of the internship.
Psychologists seeking training to change specialties to the counseling
or clinical areas must complete the same didactic and practicum
requirements.
The University of Oregon Counseling Center participates in the National
Matching Service as approved by APPIC. The University of Oregon
Counseling Center's NMS number is 152211. Information about
registering for the 2007 Match Service is available on the APPIC
website at http://www.natmatch.com/psychint/reglink.htm
. (Please be aware that each applicant needs to file the necessary
form with NMS only once.)
Interested applicants should submit:
1. A completed Uniform Internship Application (which can be downloaded
from the APPIC Web site: http://www.appic.org/match/5_3_match_application.html
2. Current vita
3. Official graduate transcripts
4. Three current letters of references, including two letters from
clinical supervisors. (One should be a recent supervisor.) We also
request that one of your three letters be written by a clinical
staff member in a university counseling center at which you have
worked or completed a practicum.
NOTE: Only hard copies of the Uniform Internship
Application will be accepted. Incomplete files cannot be
reviewed. Late materials cannot be accepted. Application
must be postmarked by November 9, 2007 to be considered.

A selection committee will review all the applications.
The committee will likely convene at the beginning of December,
and applicants will be notified, beginning December 20, of their
interview status. Standardized telephone interviews with the candidates
in the final pool will be conducted in early January. All other
candidates will receive email notification indicating they are no
longer under consideration.
This internship site agrees to abide by the
