Membership
FEEGI aims to encourage scholarly interaction and exchange among members by hosting a conference every two years and sponsoring panels at the American Historical Association conference, as an affiliated society. Members receive a discounted subscription to the journal Itinerario. FEEGI also maintains a low-traffic listserv that offers international announcements of interest to scholars of global interaction in the early modern world.
New members are encouraged to join at any point during the year. Please download the Membership Form, which is a fillable PDF form (600 Kb), to give us your scholarly and contact information.
Membership Dues
Dues are US$20; graduate students may join for US$10. You are welcome to pay for multiple years at once, to save paperwork all around. We are afraid dues must be paid in US dollars, with checks drawn on a US bank—otherwise, the international money-changing fees surpass the membership dues. (Please note that FEEGI and Itinerario, while affiliated, are separate in organization and finances—subscription requests must be sent separately to Itinerario.)
Renewing Members
The transition to the new secretary, Mark Meuwese, elected at the 2008 conference, will take place in the spring of 2008.
Our dues year coincides with the calendar year, so existing members will be asked to renew their membership in January of each year. If you are renewing a membership, and your scholarly and contact information has not changed, feel free to eschew the membership form or leave it mostly blank, and simply send the check (in US dollars) to our treasurer at:

Update Your Information
FEEGI only sends a paper mailing once a year, with news and membership form, and many of these bounce back as people have moved in the meantime. Please make sure we have your correct mailing address by dropping an email to Linda Rupert, Treasurer.
