BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Eric Gaus received his B.A. cum laude and his M.A in Economics in 2005 from Boston University.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Gaus intends to specialize in macroeconomics and international economics. Recent interests include using Bayesian techniques to estimate DSGE models that incorporate learning behavior. Also, Gaus's field paper topic is sustainable development and technology.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Gaus will be teaching Econmetrics 421 over the summer and in the fall. He has served as an independent instructor for Intermediate Macroeconomics 313. He has also served as a teaching assistant for Macroeconomics 202, Monetary Policy 470/570, Macroeconomics 313, Microeconomics 201, Econometrics 421. Responsibilities have included grading of homework sets and examinations, as well as teaching discussion sections and review sessions.

OTHER INTERESTS

Gaus enjoys playing piano and running.
