BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Erica Johnson received her B.A. with Honors in Economics and Spanish in 1999 from University of Montana and received her Master's in Economics from the University of Oregon in 2006. Prior to entering the Ph.D. Program at UO, Erica was employed as an economic analyst with San Diego Gas and Electric in San Diego, CA.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Erica intends to specialize in applied microeconomics and econometrics with applications to environmental economics. Current research focuses on how willingness to pay for reductions in health risks depends on disease type. She has wider interests in international trade, biodiversity, and health economics.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Erica has independently taught Principles of Microeconomics (Ec 201) twice and Intermediate Microeconomics (Ec 311) twice. She will be teaching Resource and Environmental Economic Issues (Ec 333) in the Spring. Erica has also served as a teaching assistant for Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics. As a teaching assistant, responsibilities included grading of homework sets and examinations, as well as teaching discussion sections and review sessions.
