Select one additional ES prefix course
or select an approved 100-or 200- course from the one of the following Lane/UO
departments- anthropology, , English, geography, history, sociology.

NOTES:
I. Effective fall, 2002, students
admitted to the University under the direct transfer plan are not able to count
more than one major course in the general education group requirements. Ethnic Studies majors may use only one
Ethnic Studies course (ES prefix) course to fulfill their Social Science and
group requirement.
2. A total of 56 Ethnic Studies
credits are required. At least 24 upper-division credits must be taken in
residence at the U of O. All courses counting toward the major must be take for
letter grades and completed with grades of mid-C or higher. Ethnic Studies
majors ust maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher in courses applied
to the major. Courses applied to any other major or minor may not be used for
the major in Ethnic Studies.
Minor Requirements
The interdisciplinary minor in ethnic
studies requires a minimum of 28 credits., with a t least 16 upper-division
credits, distributed as follows:
Lower division
Introduction
to Ethnic Studies (ES 101, 102)
200-level
course with ES prefix
Upper
division (to be taken at UO)
Four approved courses, at least two of which must have ES prefix.
All upper-division courses for the
minor must be taken in residence at the University of Oregon. The minor program
must be planned in consultation with an Ethnic Studies adviser at least two
terms before graduation. All courses counting toward the minor must be taken
for letter grades and completed with grades of mid-C or higher. Courses applied
to any other major or minor may not be used for the minor in Ethnic Studies.
Specific details and course approvals must be obtained from the Ethnic Studies Program.

UO Ethnic Studies Program accepts any Lane ES 211/212/213 course as equivalent
to their ES 250.
2 The
UO Ethnic Studies Program accepts any Lane ES 211/212/213 course as equivalent
to their ES 254.
3 The
UO Ethnic Studies Program accepts either Lane ES 241/242 course as equivalent
to their ES 256.
