BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Andrea Giusto received his Laurea (Cum Laude) in Financial Economics in 2002 from Universita' di Bologna. Prior to entering the Ph.D. Program at UO, Giusto was employed as a research assistant at the Universita' di Bologna.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Giusto intends to specialize in applied and theoretical Macroeconomics and International Finance with applications to monetary policy. Current research focuses dynamic models of GE with heterogeneous agents, central bank's inflation bias and the links between poverty, welfare and asymmetric information. Giusto has wider interests in computational economics, simulations, and time series.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Giusto has served as a teaching assistant for Intermediate Micro, Intermediate Macro, Econometrics, and International Finance. Responsibilities have included grading of homework sets and examinations, as well as teaching discussion sections and review sessions.
