Various types of lamps effect color rendering of perishable food like meat, produce, and fruit and results in a diverse exhibit of items. Some fixtures are more successful than others.

Definition of successful:
a. item is visible without strain

b. reflection of surface is minimal so as not to make item difficult to see
c. colors of fruit & vegetables appear in the store true to how they
appear outdoors
d. colors of meat are vibrant and display preconceived or memory
of how fresh meat "should" look -ex. beef should look red,
chicken should look pink
e. items have dimension, emphasized by lighting, but not too much
as to create harsh shadows
