Green Chemistry Ambassadors

Undergraduate students enrolled in CH337G - Green Organic Chemistry Laboratory - are important partners in our continuing efforts to develop new educational materials (experiments and lecture materials) and to promote green chemistry. In the latter capacity, our students act as Ambassadors of Green Chemistry, promoting green chemical strategies and practices outside the UO. Because of their exposure to this innovative program, tthese students have the awareness and skills to impact chemical practices in a variety of scientific settings.

Fall 98/Winter 99 Green Chemistry Ambassodors
The efforts and feedback from these students was essential to successful implementation of the
curriculum during the first year. Twenty students participated in the program and will soon be listed on this site.

Fall 99/Winter00 Green Chemistry Ambassadors
Thirty six students took CH337G during the second offering of the course. Their feedback (and enthusiasm) helped us scale-up the course. They provided many helpful suggestions for enhancing a larger-scale green chemistry sequence. A partial listing of these ambassadors is given below.
