The basic idea with the project is to prepare a manuscript illustrating an aspect of Greek history. This project may be a visual representation of an important battle, a map illustrating the major and minor sanctuaries of the Greek world, the relationship between colony and mother-city; the layout of a Greek household, a representation of the Athenian constitution, and many more. As you prepare the projects, bear in mind that the 'audience' is the university undergraduate (that is, you cannot make too many assumptions about what the audience knows)
The project needs to be developed with two components. The first is the visual representation of the material, the second component presents the most relevant ancient evidence. The evidence may be archaeological (and summarized in map form) or literary (as for example the description of a battle or of the functioning of an instituition. You may use power point to assemble the material, but that is not necessary; the material may be hand-drawn and submitted on paper.
Bear in mind that you will need to relate the your project to the themes of the course.
Where relevant, change over time needs to be represented and discuused.
On the checkpoints:
The best projects may be professionally developed and made available to students here and elsewhere; that is you have a chance for digital publication.

Here you may want to look at the nautical maps mentioned by Jablonski in his presentation.
