YOUNG WORKER SAFETY & HEALTH TRAINING
Youth @ Work: Teaching Teens About Safety and Health in the Workplace

The Lane Educational Service District and the University of Oregon Labor Education and Research Center hosted two one-day Train-the-Trainer sessons on Youth @ Work: Teaching Teens About Safety and Health in the Workplace June 28-29th, 2007. Staff from the National Young Worker Safety Resource Center trained state agency staff, teachers, and job placement professionals in the use of Youth @ Work: Talking Safety, a 3-5 hour curriculum which teaches high school students basic information about occupational safety and health. We hope to have more workshops available for teachers in the near future.
