The American Scholar is a quarterly journal of literature, science, and culture that has been published by the Phi Beta Kappa society since 1932. Subscription information is available via the national Phi Beta Kappa website's American Scholar page.

In May 2001 The American Scholar received an award from the American Society of Magazine Editors for general excellence in the under-100,000-circulation category. The Spring 2001 issue of The Key Reporter states that the "judges called the publication 'a magazine of the mind, free of pretence and impeccably edited.'" In recent years The American Scholar has received four National Magazine Awards. The American Scholar's website provides additional information about the journal, its history, and its contents.
