BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Sean Severe received his B.A. (Magna Cum Laude) in Economics in 2006 from Gonzaga University.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Severe intends to specialize in applied macroeconomics and Bayesian econometrics with applications to inflation and monetary policy. He has wider interests in mergers and acquisitions in the banking sector and its affect on optimal monetary policy. He is also interested in economic growth and microfinance.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Sean has independently taught principals of macroeconomics as well as intermediate macroeconomics this Winter and Spring. He has also served as a teaching assistant for principals of microeconomics, intermediate microeconomics, principals of macroeconomics, intermediate macroeconomics, industrial organization, and econometrics. Responsibilities have included teaching discussion sections and review sessions, and the grading of homework.

MISCELLANEOUS

Sean is an active member of the University of Oregon Macro Group, which discusses current macro and growth issues.
