Additionally, Dr. Martínez coordinates two research groups. He is the coordinator for the CSWS Research Interest Group “The Projects of Queer Studies: Race, Pedagogy, and Social Theory” at the University of Oregon (click here for more information). He also serves as a member of the national coordinating team for the Future of Minority Studies (FMS) Research Project, a national consortium of scholars and academic institutions with a primary interest in minority identity, education, and social transformation (click here for more information).
Professor Martinez received his BA from Stanford University in 1998. He received an MA from Cornell University in 2003 and a PhD in 2005. He joined the faculty at the University of Oregon in 2006.
