Reopened in 2005 after a major renovation and expansion project that doubled its size while respecting its historical character, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art houses more than 14,000 works of art including a nationally recognized collection of Asian art and significant holdings of American and regional art. The open-air courtyard is stunning, and you often will find students and faculty members relaxing or studying in the breezeways. The art museum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
