A redesign of the Museum of Natural and Cultural History's exhibit space has been completed with the mission to incorporate advances in research, display additions to the collections, and focus on making education fun for adults and children. Since February 2005, the exhibition hall has been completely transformed: based on the latest field research, the signature exhibit, "Oregon – Where Past is Present", tells the story of Oregon's geological, natural, and cultural history. A changing-exhibit gallery rounds out the million-dollar renovation, featuring exhibits from museum collections, Oregon's traditional cultures, and traveling shows from around the globe.
