Many Nations Longhouse
The Many Nations Longhouse opened in 2005 and represents a collaboration between the nine federally recognized tribes of Oregon and the University of Oregon. Designed by UO graduate Johnpaul Jones '67, one of the foremost Native American architects in the world, the longhouse is intended to be an expression of the essential cultural values of welcome, community, and learning for Native American students and peoples. The building serves as a gathering place for students and tribal groups and a place where both tribal and nontribal individuals can interact and learn from each other.
