A year before the Mars rovers found evidence of liquid water on the red planet, a UO undergraduate presented her theory at the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in Houston. Tahirih Motazedian has gone on to intern at the Johnson Space Center and to publish an article in Astronomy magazine. She hopes to be among the first crew on an expedition to Mars. Like Tahirih who is now an alumna, UO students are encouraged to follow their dreams and to become innovators, creators, and leaders.
