University of Oregon students started off this year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend with a day of service in three neighborhoods near campus. (See the video below for highlights.)
The week of activities also marks Veterans Day on November 11. UO theater department head John Schmor and two UO student veterans will travel to Washington, D.C. for a production of the play, Telling. A live broadcast of the event is planned for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11.
Homecoming and Family Weekend events, which run through November 16, also include door decorating and hot-dog eating contests, painting of the “O” on Skinner Butte, a chamber music performances, a Career Center open house, a Parent and Family Association reception, and the second year of the pep rally and parade through campus.
