Student investment in solar panels on the roof provide the EMU with green, clean electricity to supplement its energy usage, earning students money in energy savings. The solar panels produce 72,577 kWh/yr or a total savings of $4,136 according to Eugene's average yearly solar radiation and current energy rates.
