| The Pioneer Father statue has been a campus meeting spot since it was unveiled in 1919. As the starting point for University Day, a campus clean up event, and a focal point for adornment with such accoutrements as bike helmets, graduation robes and tie-dyes, Oregon is proud of its pioneer past and it shows. |
