T.G. Hendricks
T.G. Hendricks was an instrumental figure in the early history
of the University. When the Union University Association was raising
the money to build the first building, they found that the citizens
of Eugene had little cash to spare but would donate livestock
and crops to support the building fund. T.G. Hendricks purchased
these items at his general store with cash which went into the
building fund. Hendricks Hall is named for T.G. Hendricks. |
