Applications are reviewed for evidence of the following:
• sufficient experience and achievement to ensure that the student is capable of college level work.
• responsible conduct and social maturity that will allow the student to benefit from design criticism.
• demonstrated student interest in environmental design and ability to communicate this interest.

Academic records
Have official copies af academic records mailed directly to the address below. Records must include transcripts of all previous college work. High school students, and college students with fewer than two years of college work, must provide high school transcripts. Test scores (e.g., Scholastic Assessment Test, Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test, American College Test) must either appear on transcripts or be provided by the testing authority. Applicants whose first language is not English must submit scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Reference
Provide at least one letter of recommendation-preferably an academic or professional reference. Submit the letter with this application or have it mailed to the address below.
Essay
Submit with this application an essay that either (a) explains your interest in the summer academy and what you expect to learn from the program or (b) describes a particular place or experience that sparked your interest in a design career. Your essay should not exceed three double-space pages.
