The academy is not subsidized by any public money or private gifts, so student tuition and fees must offset the full cost of the program. Tuition covers all instruction and field trips. Equipment and supplies are about $150, plus personal expenses. Room and board fees are set by housing. Tuition is $1900. A $15 nonrefundable fee must accompany each application. Applicants are notified as soon as their completed applications have been reviewed. Upon acceptance, the applicant must send a $300 deposit (deducted from tuition) and a completed Summer Session Registration Eligibility card (included in Admit packet.) as well as a field trip fee of commuter fee of $50. For current housing costs, check the Housing website at http://housing.uoregon.edu. Please note that in the 2008 Academy, there will only be double occupany rooms available for the first 3 weeks, due to the Olympic Trials being held on campus during this time. Students who request private rooms will be moved to one after this time.
