
Individuals may not be denied access to University documents because of blindness or any other vision impairment. The University must provide documents in an accessible format upon request.
Besides having a philosophic commitment to serving people with disabilities, the University also has a legal obligation to not discriminate against people on the basis of disability.
It is simply a version of a document that has been converted to braille, large print or some other accessible format. Alternative format documents are provided to those who, for reasons of physical disability, are unable to access the original document.
The department that created the original document is responsible for providing any alternative format documents.
