OBDC MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Oregon Ballroom Dance Club is an exciting way to be involved in the ballroom dance scene. There are no fees, but members are expected to put in time and effort by helping at dances, workshops, and other OBDC activities.

The benefits of being a member of the club include:

  • vote in how things are to be run.
  • FREE entrance to Friday night dances and lessons
  • Discounts to classes and workshops
  • Discounts on term formals
  • Admission to club parties and gatherings

Activities in which members participate include acting as DJ for the Friday night dances, setting up for the dances, decorating for formals, acting as a club officer, helping with flyers, and other such activities. For the specific guidelines for attaining or maintaining a membership, check the Current Membership Policy.

The best way to start out, of course, is to attend an OBDC meeting. During the school year we have meetings every Monday at 6:00pm in the EMU in Century Room E.

Officership

OBDC officers provide key functionality to the foundation of the OBDC. Here is a list of the Officer Duties for each position.
