Course Connector pilot (general education course descriptions)

The University of Oregon Course Connector website is designed to make descriptions of general education courses more accessible and compelling for current and prospective students, advisors, college placement counselors, and the general public. Course descriptions from faculty and academic departments are illustrated with images drawn from the UO Libraries’ extensive collections of historic photos, UO Media Relations and faculty research sites, government agencies, and other public sources.

During the pilot phase (Spring 2007), we are providing descriptions for 36 out of the approximately 600 courses that satisfy general education group requirements at the University of Oregon.

Course Connector is a collaborative project of the UO's Division of Undergraduate Studies, Office of the Registrar, and the UO Libraries (Center for Educational Technologies, Image Services, and subject specialists).
