Prerequisites:	Math 095 or equivalent proficiency, and a graphing calculator. We recommend the TI-83 Plus or TI-83.

Friday, 9 January 2004--I have enabled our course-site on Blackboard. From there you can see your scores so far in the class. (This will be more useful when we've had a few more tests and assignments.) Also, on Blackboard, there is a Discussion Board which you can use to talk about the class, form study groups, and ask homework questions. I would ask that people not post homework solutions on the discussion boards. To log into Blackboard, go to <http://blackboard.uoregon.edu>, and follow the instructions.
Tuesday, 6 January 2004--Several people have called this morning to ask whether class will be held today, on account of the weather. At this point, the University has decided not to cancel classes today, and as a result, MATH 111 WILL BE HELD today as scheduled. That said, I understand that for some of you, it is difficult to make it safely to school today. Thus, please use your own discretion in deciding whether to attend class today. If you can make it safely, please do, but if you cannot make it safely, I will fully understand if you decide not to come.
Monday, 5 January 2004--Readiness quiz will be given Wednesday. Please look over the review sheet.
