Who needs TV when you can watch this little monkey make faces?

Singing my son to sleep for the first time. He was actually comforted by the sound of my voice. Given the quality of my singing, this may be cause for concern. Must get his ears checked....

Bundled munchkin, 4 days old.

Gabriel's bilirubin levels were very high and his wbc count was too low, so we came back to the hospital for a couple of days while he essentially slept in a baby tanning booth. He was quite comfortable; we, of course, we worried sick while waiting for results from yet more blood work.

Excuse the slapdash mess that constitutes this page. My home has been invaded by a small, hairless house monkey who sleeps 20 hours a day and still manages to keep both his parents awake pretty much around the clock. A nefarious skill, indeed.

Still, we've decided he's cute enough to warrant keeping around, so we've named him Gabriel. I have taken to calling him "monkey boy," much to the consternation of my partner. Stay tuned for future adventures of Monkey Boy and Super Baba (with guest star appearances by Darth Mama, the sinister force in the universe who makes us eat our vegetables and go to bed early)...
