Students also may qualify for programs within the University’s TLC that address the needs of specific populations. Participation in two of the programs is determined at the time of admission to UO. Students who are admitted through the Undergraduate Support Program (USP) benefit from first-year experiences that position them to succeed in subsequent terms at the UO; PathwayOregon students receive the integrated support and campus connections that enable them to earn a four-year degree from the UO while reducing their reliance on student loans. In addition, once admitted, UO undergraduate students who qualify for federal TRiO programs have access to comprehensive support that allows them to achieve their academic goals through Student Support Services and McNair Scholars Program. TRiO applications are available online or at the University of Oregon TLC office: 68 PLC. For more information, visit

Student Support Services (SSS) 68 Prince Lucien Campbell Hall
346-3226
Student Support Services offers solid resources to ensure that participants graduate from UO. Services include academic help (tutors, workshops, individual conferences) as well as advising, counseling and supportive relationships that extend through the years of undergraduate study. “Money Matters”—funding and financial literacy—also are addressed in SSS. Participants in the University of Oregon’s SSS program carry with them a richness of experience, demonstrating a broad range of skills and talents. All are committed to earning bachelor’s degrees and need support to achieve that goal. Students qualify for SSS based on federally defined criteria: academic needs plus socioeconomic backgrounds, which include students who meet low-income qualifications, students whose parents did not graduate with bachelor’s degrees from four-year colleges, or individuals who have documented disabilities. Applicants are screened to ensure that those accepted into the program have academic needs aligned with the services provided by the UO SSS program. For more information on program eligibility and services, visit http://tlc.uoregon.edu/sss/
