Acknowledgments

FEEGI is especially grateful to the John Carter Brown Library and the Huntington Library for generous support since FEEGI began. The Huntington hosted conferences in 1998, 2002, and 2006, while the John Carter Brown hosted the founding meeting in 1994 and the tenth anniversary meeting in 2004, and supports our affiliation with Itinerario.

FEEGI would also like to thank the home institutions of our executive committee members, past and present, for supporting the work that members do to facilitate a broader scholarly community. Georgetown University merits special thanks for substantial support for the 2008 conference. Two institutions in particular deserve special notice for the 2006-2008 and 2008-2010 terms—the history department at the University of North Carolina Greensboro hosts the secretary-treasurer and supplies administrative assistance. The University of Oregon hosts the website and listserv.

Gratitude is due to James Williams and Middle Tennessee State University for the previous term of technology support, to 2006. The Harriet Tubman Resource Centre on the African Diaspora was instrumental in developing and hosting the original website in 2003. James Landers deserves credit for the design of the information card—the site masthead is simply a portion of the card.
