SMART BOARDS
Information Services has set up three Smart Boards
in the Collaboration Center (formerly Documents Room Library), 175
McKenzie. These include a 61-inch white board with an overhead
projector, a 65-inch Panasonic plasma TV with a smart overlay, and a
height-adjustable, rear-projection board that sits on wheels for easy
relocation within the room.
We encourage anyone interested to come try the Smart
Boards out any time that the Collaboration Center is open
and that the boards are available. Please note that if you want to use a
specific Smart
Board for a
meeting or presentation at a specific time or if you need someone to
assist you, it's best to schedule ahead of time by calling 346-4406.
The Smart Boards are set up with Windows XP
desktop computers equipped with the same software as computers in the
McKenzie Computer Lab. If you want to use a Smart
Board with your own laptop, you will need to have the Smart Board software installed on the laptop.
You can save time by loading the Smart Board software before you come to the Collaboration Center. To get the software, go to smarttech.com. Under "Quick links" on the right side of the page, click on "Download software." Under Smart Board Software, choose the operating system you use, and follow the directions.
An alternative to bringing your laptop is to bring your files on a flash drive.
Schedule the Smart Boards by phone (346-4406)
or email (docsrm@uoregon.edu). |
