SMART TECHNOLOGY
The Collaboration Center is a place
where faculty, staff, and students can try out
different pieces of equipment. For staff, this is an opportunity to explore new equipment thoroughly before making decisions about purchases.
Currently the center features three Smart Boards that let users write, erase, and
perform
mouse functions with fingers or a stylus. These include a 61-inch white
board with an overhead projector, a 65-inch Panasonic plasma TV with a
smart overlay, and a height-adjustable, rear-projection board that sits on
wheels for easy relocation within the room.
The Collaboration Center is a work in progress.
Plans include adding laptops to lend and offering videoconferencing between the center and the EMU Computing Center.
