Seismic Hazard Research
Mitigation of earthquake hazard is an essential, ongoing component
of study in this group.
We have a separate page detailing our seismic
hazard research in Oregon.

In the United States we are currently involved in projects
in Oregon,
Idaho,
and California.
Overall, the Western
United States (4.3 MB image!) is an area of interest for our
entire group as well other members of this department. (Note that
these images are from Ray Sterner's work at the Johns
Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory).
Outside the United States we are involved in projects in Mexico,
China, and Kyrgystan
with additional interests in Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos.
