Rather than tackle the entire course alone, Duck Bill Thrill participants can choose to enter as a relay team. In the relay competition, teams of 2 or 3 people can complete the triathlon as a relay. If a team has 3 people then the first person will swim 1500m, the second person will bike 24 miles and the third person will run 6 miles. As soon as the swimmer finishes, the biker on the team can start and as soon as the biker finishes the runner can start. On a 2 person team, one person will do two of the legs of the relay and the other person will do just one leg.

The relay starts at the same time (8:00AM) and follows the same course as the participants who are completing the race as individuals. There are 5 divisions that relay teams can compete in including: all women, all men, women & men, high school and corporate.

Each individual on the relay team registers separately and pays a separate entry fee. On the registration form you list the names of your team members which allows us to match you up together when we receive all of the entries for your team. You can register either online or by printing and mailing in a registration form from our website: www.uoregon.edu/~ducktri/DBT/ . Please register by May 1st to avoid a $10 late fee.
