Yoko O'Brien's primary teaching goal is to help students learn communicative language skills in Japanese. Although students are involved in four language skills in the classroom (speaking, listening, reading, and writing), her focus is on communication skills helping students to acquire Japanese in real life situations at all levels. She is also sensitive to the individual learner's needs and learning styles, adapting a variety of methods whenever necessary.
