Information for Parents, Teachers & Volunteers
Early Childhood CARES offers many opportunities for parents. Parent meetings are provided throughout the year that focus on topics of
interest to parents of young children.
Early Childhood CARES has a lending library of books and videos available for all parents receiving early intervention/early childhood special education services.
Funds are available to families this year to access training opportunities related to their child with special needs. Any family with a child in the Early Childhood CARES program who is currently eligible and receiving services may apply for family training funds.
To apply, ask your child's service coordinator for a "Family Request for Training Money" form and send to an Early Childhood CARES co-director at 200 E. 18th Street, Eugene OR, 97401.
Parents are invited to attend the Early Intervention Council and participate in activities of the council, including attending free
training opportunities. The Early Intervention Council meetings are held at the Hilyard Center, 2580 Hilyard St. in Eugene, unless otherwise noted. No pre-registration is needed.
