Early Childhood CARES offers practicum and volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and experience levels. Community volunteers and students from a variety
of background are welcome to participate in a wide variety of experiences.
Volunteers may participate in several of Early Childhood CARES classrooms and may gain experience with toddler age children as well as preschool age children with
disabilities. A commitment of at least three months is expected. Undergraduate and graduate students may also gain valuable practicum experience
accompanying an early interventionist on home visits and acting as a driver for an early interventionist with a visual impairment.
Volunteers working directly with children will be supervised at all times and will never be alone with children. Volunteers over the age of 18
will be required to fill out a criminal record check and provide two references.
