What is the Environmental Policymakers and Planners organization?
EPP is a dynamic student-powered organization with the mission to "promote awareness, opportunities, and educational experiences concerning environmental policy and planning." The group hopes to capitalize on the significant interests and support of the student body and PPPM department to continue bringing valuable learning opportunities to the campus community. Other goals include building mentor relationships with PPPM alumni, networking with other related organizations, and acting as a clearinghouse for information pertaining to environmental policymaking and planning. EPP is an ASUO recognized and funded student organization.

History
EPP was founded in 2005 by Planning, Public Policy and Management graduate students. The organization serves to increase awareness of the role of environmental policymaking and planning. In Fall 2007, EPP was officially recognized by the ASUO.

Elections
Candidate Eligibility
- Must have attended EPP meeting before.
- Must be current UO student.
- Must be attending UO at least part-time during 2007-08 academic year.
- Must be able to fulfill responsibilities of position for 1 year.
Election Process (2005-2006 Academic Year)
- If all criteria for eligibility is met, attend the next EPP meeting on Friday, April 28th, at 3:30 in Hendricks room 100.
- Give a brief (5 min) statement of candidacy, provide electronic copy for website posting no later than Monday, May 1st.
- If you cannot attend, but would like to run, email your statement to the current EPP President who will read your statement for you. Statements will be posted on the EPP website.
- Candidates will be voted on via email during the 2 weeks before the next meeting, Friday, May 12th, at 10AM.
- Incoming officers must meet with outgoing officers before final EPP meeting of the term.
- Newly elected officers will take office at final EPP meeting of the term, Friday, June 9th.
Elections are conducted in accordance with EPP By Laws and ASUO standards as found in the 2007-08 Green Tape Notebook.
