Acute Pain
Acute Pain is pain that begins suddenly and does not last for an extended period of time. Acute pain may be caused things like fracturing a bone, spraining a ligament, appendicitis, kidney stones, straining a muscle, or a burn. Other symptoms that may be associated with acute pain are increased heart rate, hyperventilation, sweating, increased blood pressure, and dialtion of the pupils.
