Academic Council Meeting

The Advisory Council (AC) was a predessor to the current Faculty Advisory Council (FAC). The AC kept minutes of all its meetings that were publicly available and part of the permanent University record. By contrast, the current FAC acts in a confidential capacity to the President and does not keep minutes -- the current FAC acts in a confidential capacity giving advice to the President. The AC clearly acted in a more public fashion. We are grateful to Heather Briston (Archivist) for making this information available to us. However, we are solely responsible for any errors in the conversion to PDF format and in the posting of this information. For many of the later records, a version is also available in HTML format which was created by an OCR program -- the conversion was not of particularly great quality and the PDF format should be regarded as normative.
