General Science students who wish to apply for the following scholarships are
being asked to fill out the appropriate form below and return it to the GenSc
Office (149 Wil) by Monday, February 18.
The following scholarships require this application process, click on the link
to obtain the application form:
- The Mildred Braaten Archibald
Scholarship in Science and Mathematics
This fund recognizes high achievement for undergraduates majoring in math,
chemistry, biology, and physics (including general science). Preference will be given to students who have
significant interest in issues related to women in the sciences.
- The Clarence and Lucille
Dunbar Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes high achieving undergraduate and graduate students
in the areas of biology, chemistry, computer and information science, human
physiology, geological sciences, mathematics, physics, or psychology (including
general science). The Dunbar
Scholarship will make awards of up to $5,000 each.
- The Henry V. Howe
Scholarship
The Howe Scholarship recognizes high achieving undergraduate and graduate
students in the areas of biology, chemistry, computer and information science,
human physiology, geological sciences, mathematics, physics, or psychology
(including general science). The
scholarship will make awards of up to $5,000 each.
Once the applications
have been turned in to the department offices (by Monday, February 18 at 5:00
p.m.), the department will be responsible for nominating the five top choices
for each scholarship.
