During my visits to Germany, I have occasionally collaborated with the songwriter Sascha Gutzeit who is based in Wuppertal. Despite Germany’s claim to fame as a haven of electronic sounds, Gutzeit insists on strictly hand-made music.

I am interested in photography when and where it intersects with literature and critical thought, but I also dabble in it myself from time to time, mostly shooting in black-and-white. This series, however, is in color—an experiment with random double exposure in collaboration with David T. Callaghan.
