Careful planning of an academic course of study is important for students enrolled in the
Department of Human Physiology (HPHY) at the University of Oregon. Many common matriculation
problems and/or delayed graduation can be easily avoided by becoming fully informed about both
the general and departmental requirements for awarding of the bachelors degree.
This page is designed to assist undergraduate majors in the Department of Human Physiology
(HPHY) in the process of academic advising. Used wisely and often it will serve as a tool to
ensure an efficient and rewarding educational experience. It is best utilized in conjunction
with regular visits to the peer advisors and with the department faculty advisor, which should
