Requirements

One-page paper (two-page paper for graduate students) due each Monday (in class) on one of the readings for that week. You must complete the paper before we discuss the readings in class. You may write in response to questions that were raised in previous discussions or questions that arise for you as you read. Get directly to the answer in these short essays. The papers should be clear, and they should be typed and proofread. Taken together, they should give incontrovertible evidence that you have completed the reading assignments and paid close attention in class. Regular attendance and participation in discussion is also required.

Late papers will not be accepted. Incompletes will be given only for documented medical reasons.

Grades: Papers 80%
