Chile The Chile Andes Mountains are split into two catorgories. The northern range is dry and desertous (Atacama Desert) and the southern range is feritle and wet. To the left you see my first Chile destination-- Torres del Paine. Torres del Paine is an assembly of peaks, lakes, and glaciers. It's a wonderful place to go rockclimbing. |

Altiplano, left, was my second stop. It is a flatland created by the pyroclastic flow of the surronding volcanoes. These flatlands include lakes 11,000 feet above sea level and huge salt flats. |
