Equador
Equator has the highest population of volcanoes, but very few of them are active.
The Cordillera Real was my first stop. It is the central range and is a draw
because it's mountains are taller than those of the western range.

Then I traveled east, through the jungles, to Reventador, shown to the left. It
was created by volcanic eruptions and stands 3485 meters tall.
|
 |
Then I hopped over to Mount Chimborazo, left. It's massive in size, reaching 20,703 feet
and it's summit to the center of the earth is longer than that of Mount Everest's.
|
 |
Back to the central range, I visited Sangay, left. Sangay is claimed to be the most
active volcano in the world. Located just below the equator, Sangay stands 17,160 feet
tall.

My last stop was Pichincha, left. Pichincha, along with Cotocachi, is one of the
grandest volcanoes in the western range.
