My new GPS unit arrived (in July). I have been using an older, pre WAAS capable unit, which was great in its day. I am hoping to be able to locate my property markers with the help of this unit and also try my hand at some geocaching. I took the thing out, but all the leaves on the trees are blocking my satellites, so will have to wait until sometime in the late Fall to persue the property line hunt. I have been so busy preparing for the Fall, I have not tried to geocache yet... but it still intrigues me and I am looking forward to my first find. I will update this as progress requires.
Spring is here. Built a planter in front of the house, still clearing blackberries (making good progress!), getting the garden ready to plant, preparing for a busy summer. Some potential projects for this summer: prune/top a bunch of trees, replace front steps to house, stain/paint the house, get a dog, repair the cat house and chicken coop, build some benches around the new deck I built last summer, cut a trail into the side of the hill so I can drive the tractor around the new deck, maybe build a fountian by the back deck, want to build a really good wood burning BBQ Pit, burn the wood pile, cut and split wood for next year, build a walkway to the big greenhouse, maybe build a *deck*/storage area under the existing "upper deck"... humm... looks like a busy summer... again! Looking forward to it! Just wish I could win the lottery so I could afford to stay home and work on *fun* projects!
