diglib: February Meetings
DigLib:
Diglib has two meetings scheduled in
February: Wednesday, 2/14, and Wednesday,
2/28. Both meetings are at 1:30 p.m. and will
be held in the Rowe Conference room.
For the 2/14 session I offer the following agenda.
Please feel free to invite others that may be
interested in the these topics and/or have something
to contribute to the discussion. I also plan to put
this agenda in next week's Staff Bulletin.
Agenda for 2/14:
1. "Notes on Software for Dynamic Websites":
http://libweb.uoregon.edu/diglib/JQJ-Dynamic-Web-Sites.html
JQ prepared this overview/discussion piece following the
group's 1/3/01 meeting. Does the information learned about
e-Asia and Special Collection's digital projects suggest a
particular suite of applications that the library should adopt?
2. "Mass Storage for Library Digital Projects":
http://libweb.uoregon.edu/diglib/mass-storage-proposal.html
Storage, storage, storage. The group heard Will say the word
over and over again. Systems has prepared a proposal that
Diglib should review and discuss.
3. ORBIS Government Documents Committee investigations
into electronic data products of NW regional federal agencies:
Tom Stave has asked to speak with the group on this topic.
There are definte digital library implications, questions, etc.
wrapped up in this topic.
4. Agenda setting and housekeeping:
Setting the agenda for future meetings should become a
group directed process.
Thanks, Mark
