diglib: Web sites as collectibles
We have primarily been discussing the warehousing of our own born-digital
products, but of course things can't be that simple, can they. There is a
possibility that we may be acquiring someone's Web site as an extension to
works previously donated by the author. It's a mix of text and images, and
there are links that lead away from the site and then back, so it is not a
discrete set of files. This is a tentative prospect and out of respect for
the family acquisitive discussions should be kept discreet. Look at

I am hoping to attend the Electronic Media Group presentation at AIC in
Dallas in May, which will focus on the preservation of Web sites. There are
many interesting issues related to format, migration, and authenticity of
author's intent which will be raised in a case like this.
